We had some trouble with the thermostat/heat when we first arrived and Felipe was very responsive and helped us get everything sorted right away. Full kitchen with cooking basics.   Communications were warm and proactive but unfortunately, the house is in poorer condition than in photos. Carpet is worn, marks on walls, gaps from the front door allowed in cold... read more air so we laid towels down along the edge to help but that still left the large gap above the door frame. One of the living room chairs had exposed staples so we warned the kids to not sit in the Staple Chair. Backyard is not fully enclosed so we could not let our dog off leash. The house is also on the market so when we checked in, we ran into a man who was walking the perimeter. Awkward but not frightening, just surprising. Altogether minor issues that didn’t deter us from staying the remainder of our stay and not issues the listing agent could have easily addressed. We did share upon checkout as a heads up. Communications were still positive. Just expect more of a college student rental. A dog park is fairly close by, residential street is quiet, and excellent food within a couple of blocks.

This home was in our old neighborhood, so it was very special to be able to stay in familiar surroundings. Aspinwall is close to downtown and everything Pittsburgh has to offer, Pittsburgh History Museum, Incline, the Zoo, Primanti Brothers. Fabulous neighborhoods—Shadyside and shopping, Southside and jazz, and “the Strip” 😄 as well as being close to the country, Fox Chapel and beyond. Perfect for future return visits!
